Our Mission
Our mission is to boldly go where many boots have gone before and march them into the 21st century.
Our boots on the ground theater journey encompasses four C’s: Chronicle…Collaborate…Community…Classics.
We Chronicle moments in history, onstage and on site. We’ve given audiences and actors of all ages the chance to relive history while being entertained and inspired. From the true story of Helen Keller, to the fields of battle in Vietnam and here at home, and the world of the original CSI: Sherlock Holmes…we’ve taken audiences to many places from the past bringing that history to life, while providing important historical context and perspective. Plus we make it fun.
We Collaborate with local Long Island organizations, performing arts, museums, historical societies to join together in keeping history alive for our collective audiences. We believe team work is the key to accomplish what we do in and on all stages. As Helen Keller herself said: “Alone we can do so little… together we can do so much…”
Community! We celebrate our local Long Island community here on the East End, offering the chance for folks in our area to be involved through acting, directing, singing, photography and marketing. Plus we will continue to provide local student actors the chance to play a variety of lead roles. We cannot overstate the importance of our community.
Classics In addition to history theater we’re excited to begin bringing Classic Theater back to life. As part of our devotion to all things historical, botgt will deep dive into the theater archives and include performances of a variety of 19th and 20th century theater classics onstage.
