Meet one of our newest cast members: Cheyanne Metzger. Cheyanne is featured in the role of Laurel in our upcoming production THE CHALK GARDEN this October and she is brilliant. Cheyanne may be new to boots on the ground theater but she’s not new to the stage. She’s been active in theater for a number of years, both musicals and plays, at her school in her hometown of Riverhead and across the East End. She’s a 16 year old powerhouse! When Director Mark Heidemann was searching for a local teen actor to play this important and complex role, Cheyanne was first on many people’s lists of recommendations. A local theater director summed her up this way: “Cheyanne Metzger is a force on stage.” Come see her!

I’m a junior at Riverhead High School and I’ve partaken in performances with various local community theaters, including North Fork Community Theatre and Riverhead’s own Blue Masques productions. I am so excited to be performing for boots on the ground theater at the SCC and alongside so many wise and extraordinarily talented persons. I would like to thank my director Mark Heidemann for permitting me to take on the challenge that is Enid Bagnold’s THE CHALK GARDEN and I hope the audiences of this production will come to love it as much as I do!
