Meet our Stage Manager, Lydia Korneffel
Meet our Stage Manager: Lydia Korneffel. Lydia is a senior at Ward Melville High School and is already a force in theater. She’s performed, directed and run tech for over 30 shows so far at her school and across Long Island, including Productions Over the Rainbow and Smithtown Performing Arts Center. She’s been featured in Frozen Jr, High School Musical and Words Words Words among many others. Most recently she directed and set designed her high school production of “Car Wash.” Lydia’s off to college this Fall to further her theater immersion. We’re thrilled to have her as part of the boots on the ground theater / The Agitators team:
“I’m Lydia Korneffel and I am so grateful for the opportunity to work on this show. The cast and director are amazing and I feel I have already learned so much from working with them. I have been doing theater since I was ten and immediately fell in love with it. I have been in 36 productions and have directed/assistant directed four. The more I do, the more I love it. I’m hoping to pursue theater, directing and performing as a career in order to keep doing what I love.”
Part of the botgt ongoing mission is to feature a student in a leading role, to give them the chance to work in a professional environment. There is no more important role than Stage Manager! And we welcome Lydia. Please help us continue to welcome young folks into the fold and bring history theater to life on the East End!
